Jake Beaver is a 2022 OF/LHP, 1B with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Gainesville, GA who attends Flowery Branch. Small and athletic frame, young with a lot of growing still to do and plenty of time to do so. Ran a 7.60 second 60 yard dash. Primary outfielder, attacks the ball well, big crow hop into release and gets rid of the ball very quickly, average arm strength and advanced for age, short arm stroke into throws while being accurate to the bag, topped out at 77 mph from the outfield and will only improve as he matures physically. Secondary lefthanded pitcher, loose arm action up to a high 3/4 arm slot, multiple moving parts to his delivery creates deception, mixed in a fastball up to 76 mph with late arm side life and a 1-to-7 curveball, filled up the strike zone nicely. Lefthanded hitter, narrow stance with a high hand set to start, inverted toe tap trigger into stride, some good balance to swing, developing barrel skills in his level swing plane, sprayed contact to all fields, needs to continue to get stronger for added pop off of the barrel. Outstanding student.
