Alex Jolley is a 2018 SS/2B with a 6-2 171 lb. frame from Burbank, CA who attends Heritage Christian. Large frame with a lean, athletic build. Frame shows plenty of room to continue to add strength. Ran a 7.42 sixty-yard dash. Primary shortstop with aggressive footwork while closing to and surrounding the baseball. Clean glove actions while funneling and worked through transition with clean glove to hand exchanges. Released from a three-quarters slot producing accurate, on line carry across the infield topping at 74 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a spread, slightly open stance and high back elbow set. Stays on back side and works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Simple, direct path to contact with a line drive plane through extension. Looked to work to the middle of the field throughout batting practice, but flashed the bat head control to work to the opposite field as well. Outstanding student.
