Luke Wagner is a 2021 OF/UT with a 6-2 166 lb. frame from Washington, PA who attends Mcguffey High School. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and a projectable build and present with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.41 60-yard dash. Primary outfield, takes short steps moving towards the ball and gets behind the ball, fields the ball out front, shorter arm action through the back working to a three-quarters release, repeats actions well with accuracy on throws, arm strength will continue to develop. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and a back elbow at the plate; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing at start of swing. Simple set of mechanics and does a nice job of repeating, aggressive approach and shows a feel for the barrel through the zone. Stays short to the ball with a lien drive swing plane, easy swing and projects with additional lower half, line drive contact off the barrel. Very good student.
