Ethan Phillips is a 2022 RHP/MIF, OF with a 6-2 165 lb. frame from Dunedin, FL who attends Calvary Christian. Medium to large slender build with plenty of room to fill into as he continues to develop, posted a 6.98 second 60 yard dash time. Primary pitcher, has a shorter arm action from a three-quarters slot. Good arm speed, high leg lift, works with good direction down the hill. Fastball up to 85 mph, locates it to all four quadrants with intent. High 11-to-5 shaped curveball shows solid depth. Also mixes in a 73 mph straight change. From the outfield, fields off to the side and showcases good footwork. Big crow hop on his throws to all bags, creates strong carry. At the plate, uses a spread and slightly open stance with a simple stride trigger. Smooth overall stroke with developing barrel control. Looks to use the middle of the field. Excellent student in the classroom as well.
