Austin Moon is a 2022 OF/RHP, 3B with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Chino, CA who attends Don Antonio Lugo. Medium build with some physicality and room to continue to strengthen as he continues to develop. Primary outfielder, is meticulous with his reads off the bat, fields out in front. Throws stay on line to all bags. Shorter arm action, gets rid of the ball quickly. Was gunned at 84 mph to the plate in the outfield workouts. On the mound, has a similar short arm action from a high three-quarters slot. Working on consistency with his mechanics. Fastball up to 81 mph, throws both an 11-to-5 shaped curveball as well as a 72 mph straight change. At the plate, uses an even and upright stance with a simple stride trigger. Works the ball to all fields, still understanding his rhythm and timing with the pitcher. Great student in the classroom as well.
