Enrique Archuleta is a 2019 C/ with a 5-10 142 lb. frame from Ranchos De Taos, NM who attends Taos. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build. Projects for additional strength. Ran a 7.27 sixty-yard dash. Primary catcher with a narrow, even stance while setting up to receive. Lets the ball travel to a deep receive position and gains some ground while working out of crouch. Smooth paced, loose glove to hand exchanges and released from a low three-quarters arm slot creating softer carry to the bag. Right handed hitter with an upright, open stance. Loose, extended path to contact with a line drive plane through extension. Consistently delivered barrel to baseball and produced line drive, ground ball contact to the middle of the field throughout batting practice. Tools will continue to develop with physical maturity and repetition. Good student as well.
