Blake Jay is a 2026 MIF/RHP with a 6-0 172 lb. frame from Shawnee, KS who attends Mill Valley. Lean athletic build with some length and physical projection remaining. 6.77 runner in the sixty. Primary middle infielder on defense, has good arm strength when his feet are planted and has soft hands fielding the ball, charged the ball well and showed agility, actions may be best suited for third base moving forward. Right handed hitter, sets up in an even base with a short stride into contact, good rhythm in his hands and has some hand quickness, line drive swing plane, high contact approach that projects with additional strength. Also pitched, works out of a full wind up with an athletic delivery and a high 3/4's whippy arm. Fastball worked consistently in the 82-84 mph range with big running life at times, lived at the bottom of the zone and showed command. Slider was a solid second pitch with some two-plane shape and depth. Has potential on the mound. Key to his development in all areas will simply be getting stronger. Good student. Named to the PG National Uncommitted Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
