Mailon Reese is a 2020 OF/RHP with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Auburn, AL who attends Lee Scott Academy. Flashed a smaller frame with a wiry look showing a very athletic build. Fast twitch type ball player with a lean look. Ran a 6.72 second sixty yard dash. Primary Outfielder who showed advanced routes to the baseball with a clean glove and quick transfers, Footwork present then flashed a strong arm with extended carry on throws. Has all the tools to excel at the next level in the outfield. Secondary Righthanded pitcher starting with a quick rocker step and then a leg lift just above the belt. Smaller arm circle in the back before delivering from a high three-quarter arm slot. Whippy arm action with a fluid delivery showing a fast arm. Flashed more in the tank when he needed it. Pitched off the fastball as he pounded the zone with it topping out at 87 MPH. Curveball thrown for strikes as well as it showed depth keeping hitters guessing. Righthanded hitter starting from a narrow stance with some hand movement present. Starts closed off as well before showing a bat wrap over the head before showing an aggressive hack. Was well balanced before showing a linear swing path as he squared up the baseball with ease. Showed some pull side power as well at times when he got the bat head out front. Outstanding Student. Named to Gulf Coast Showcase Top Prospect List.
