Anthony Sacchetti is a 2022 OF with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Mansfield, MA who attends Mansfield. Recorded a 7.26 second sixty-yard dash time. Extra-Large, lanky frame with a high waist and plenty of room to fill out. Primary outfielder that incorporated active footwork into the fielding process, while fielding cleanly off his front foot and gathering smoothly into release. Displayed the ability to adjust well on the move, maintaining momentum well throughout to work into a long, loose arm action to throw. Recorded arm strength up to 81 mph during drills. Secondary right-handed hitter; abbreviated windup with small side-step rocker into a slightly coiled leg lift and long stride out to foot strike. Incorporates length well down the slope, engaging his lower half with slight drop and drive movements and some deception due to high front side lever. Fastball worked in the upper-70s for the duration of his outing, topping out at 80 mph from a high three-quarters delivery. Creates plenty of downhill plane and natural arm-side to the fastball, worked both sides of the plate effectively and expanded up in the zone when ahead in the count. Mixed in slower breaking ball that varied in shape and at best flashed some short downer action when released out in front. Imposing presence on the mound that allows fastball to play up, will continue to improve with further advancements of secondary offerings and more velocity. Right-handed hitter that hits from a narrow, open stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and leg lift trigger. Incorporates pre-pitch bat waggle for rhythm and rotational lower half mechanics to get launch. Displayed consistent bat-to-ball skills with some compact hand speed and feel for the barrel. Middle-of-the field approach with line drive impact from gap-to-gap, while flashing some leverage and strength through contact. Will continue to improve with proper adjustments mechanically in all facets of his game and additional physically maturity. Excellent Student.
