Liam Murphy is a 2019 C/OF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Syracuse, NY who attends Corcoran. Medium frame with a lean build. Primary catcher with a low, slightly side set stance while receiving the baseball. Gains some ground and works through transfer with clean exchanges. Released from a compact three-quarters arm slot producing accurate, on line carry to the bag at 70 miles per hour, best workout pop time of 2.19. Right handed hitter with a slightly crouched, even stance and simple leg lift trigger. Works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Inside hand path to baseball with a simple, repeatable line drive barrel plane. Showed good fluidity throughout swing with the barrel control to work to all fields with ease.
