Carter Tyus is a 2021 RHP/OF with a 6-2 205 lb. frame from Vestavia Hills, AL who attends Vestavia Hills. Large and strong frame with present strength well-proportioned throughout. Ran a 7.21 second 60 yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, comes to balance arching back over the rubber leading to a closed off landing down the mound, hides the baseball through the back from a full arm action up to a high 3/4 arm slot at release, tilts upper half upon release to live primarily on the armside half of the plate. Fastball topped out at 83 mph, mixed in a curveball with some sweeping action and feel for the pitch, filled up the strike zone well with the two pitch combination. Secondary first baseman, fields the baseball out in front, stays strong with his lower half into turns and throws, loose arm action with similar arm strength as on the mound. Righthanded hitter, sets up at the plate with an even base, takes a small leg lift trigger into contact, hits the baseball out in front with some strength, could improve jump off of the barrel with additional weight shifted into contact.
