Matt Leikus is a 2021 3B/RHP with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Lutherville, MD who attends Gilman HS. Large frame with good strength, ran 60 yard dash in 7.47 seconds. Hits from wider based stance, good stride with balance, has good bat speed with legitimate power potential, swings it hard and with intent, tends to drift, shows ability to go to all fields, high upside as hitter with continued development. Worked out in infield, athletic actions to both sides, charges aggressively, looseness to arm with good arm strength, clocked up to 86 mph across. Also pitched, extreme crossfire max effort delivery, lower arm slot with compact stroke, creates good angles, fastball worked 77-82 mph with good life, flashes sharp slider along with interesting feel for a changeup. Could be overpowering when in zone.
