Benjamin Segura is a 2023 RHP/1B/OF with a 6-0 155 lb. frame from St Cloud, FL who attends St. Cloud. Long and lean build, tall for a freshman, very projectable physically. Side step delivery, gets balanced well at his gather point, swings his front leg but lands online well to the plate, deep arm circle in back with a 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 81 mph with good plane, got some nice running action at times, showed good feel for locating his fastball to both sides of the plate. Change up was his best secondary pitch, maintains his arm speed well and works low in the zone with it. Tends to cast his curveball, flashed some depth when he got out front with it. Promising young right hander. 7.25 runner, showed his arm strength very well in the outfield, was loose and whippy with his arm. Right handed hitter, shifts well and is on time with a downhill swing plane.
