Tyler Willman is a 2018 1B/RHP with a 6-5 240 lb. frame from Sterling, IL who attends Sterling HS. XL frame with tremendous strength throughout physically mature build. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.91 seconds. Sets up to hit from even based stance with slight squat, shifts quite well into contact and creates torque, positive launch with clean hands, big time bat speed and strength in swing. Has legitimate power, especially to the pull field, really drove several deep into the air with impressive carry. Worked out at 1st base; deep funnel near feet, shows solid footwork around the bag, threw 79 mph across the diamond. Also pitched; longer arm stroke through the back, collapses on backside a bit but does a good job driving downhill, creates good angle from three quarters arm slot, fastball worked 82-86 mph with heavy sink. Also showed slider with good tilt and shape; will be swing-and-miss pitch with a bit more conviction. Excellent student; Named to 2017 Great Lakes Showcase Top Prospect List.
