Ryan Anderson is a 2018 LHP/ with a 6-0 155 lb. frame from Redwood City, CA who attends Junipero Serra. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build. Projects for additional strength. Ran a 7.10 sixty-yard dash. Primary left handed pitcher who worked exclusively from the stretch. Simple leg lift delivery and created slightly coil over back leg at gather. Stays tall and balanced and works to the plate with drop and drive lower half actions. Lands in line with the plate and carries momentum through finish. Medium arm circle and released from a high three-quarters arm slot. Fastball flashed some natural cut to glove side in the mid 60's to low 70's, topped at 71 miles per hour. Tends to slow arm speed with a curveball that had 2/7 shape with loose spin and some depth in the upper 50's. Stated to generated better downhill angle with fastball later in outing when working over front side effectively. Consistently changed speeds and showed the feel for breaking ball to double up when needed. Very good student as well.
