Brennan Connell is a 2021 RHP/3B, OF, UT with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Olathe, KS who attends Olathe West. Athletic frame with a lean build. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary right handed pitcher with a smooth, repeatable inline delivery. Creates some separation at take back and released from a compact arm action. Fastball created some running action to arm side in the upper 70's to low 80's, topped at 81 miles per hour. Showed good feel and arm speed with an 11/5 breaking ball and sinking changeup. Consistently located each pitch to the bottom of the zone and kept hitters off balance. Also worked out defensively from the outfield showing fundamentally sound footwork while closing to and working through the baseball. Funnels the baseball well and gains ground towards target while working through exchange. Released from a three-quarters arm slot producing accurate carry to the bag at 85 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a wide, balanced stance and compact stride. Utilized a linear plane with the barrel feel to work to all fields. Very good student. Named to the 2018 Rocky Mountain Showcase Top Prospect List.
