Zachary Olivan is a 2018 OF/LHP with a 5-8 187 lb. frame from Rensselaer, NY who attends Columbia HS. Medium frame with a presently physical build. Recorded a 3.91 30-yard dash. Primary outfielder who has a clean arm and throws downhill consistently. Arm has quickness and consistently got on top of his throws; repeated his mechanics well. Very quick arm speed on the mound with a bit of a deceptive delivery. Attacked hitters primarily with his fastball that had steady cutting action to the pitch. Mixed in a soft curveball but the fastball was his most effective weapon during his outing. Stands balanced and slightly open at the plate with a fly ball approach. Creates leverage and is looking to drive the ball into the air. Showed some bat speed and has strength both in his frame and the swing. Great student.
