Nick Brown is a 2021 C/MIF with a 5-10 156 lb. frame from Aurora, CO who attends Grandview. Athletic frame with room to fill. Ran a 7.37 second 60 yard dash. Primary catcher, shows some flexibility in his lower half, gains some ground into throw downs, could work on getting more out over his front leg, quick exchange from his mitt to his hand, arm strength is average but throws have plenty of carry, 2.01 second best pop time. Secondary middle infielder, good footwork to the baseball with some quick-twitch actions, fields the baseball out in front with clean hands, showed some range to either side laterally, showed similar arm strength as behind the plate. Righthanded hitter, even stance with a slight bend at the waist set, strides into contact while collapsing the back side, weight shifts into contact but could continue to get more from his lower half, takes his hands straight to the baseball, showed the ability to hit the ball to any part of the field.
