JJ Rickert is a 2022 RHP/MIF/OF with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Mansfield, TX who attends Lake Ridge HS. Recorded a 7.99 second 60-yard dash time. Younger frame and build with some young, wiry strength throughout. Primary righthanded pitcher with a high three-quarters arm slot and a short arm circle. Lower set and finishes out in front. Tunnels both pitches and can work inside with intent. Good mound presence and throws a lot of strikes. Mixed in a power curveball with some shape and depth to it. Good feel for pitching and can mix pitches well. Arm strength plays from secondary position of outfield and infield. Righthanded hitter with an upright and narrow base with a big stride. Shifts weight into the swing and hands stay level throughout the load. Good student.
