Hector Casanova is a 2022 RHP/OF with a 6-0 140 lb. frame from Orlando, FL who attends Timber Creek High School. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.41 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, begins with a simple side step moving into delivery, leg lift up above belt with slight hip turn at top, gather on backside before coming towards the plate. Long and loose arm action through the backside with present arm speed working to a three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 74 mph, shows running life from release, projects for more velocity with added physical strength. Curveball shows 12-6 shape and developed nicely throughout outing, showed tight rotation with short depth and able to miss bats. Aggressive moving to the ball in the outfield, reads the ball well off the bat and maintains momentum throughout, similar clean arm stroke through the back and shows footwork at the ball. Righthanded hitter, loads hands back at start of swing with slight bar. Swings with intent and shows a linear path through the zone, creates contact around the field and shows comfort working to the middle.
