2020 Mid-Atlantic Indoor Showcase (Saturday)
Roman Pastrana is a 2022 RHP/MIF with a 5-4 140 lb. frame from North Bergen, NJ who attends North Bergen HS. Recorded an 8.50 second 60-yard dash time. Younger frame with a lean build and room to fill out. Primary righthanded pitcher with a small turn step into a high leg lift at the belt. Loose arm with a longer stroke and a three-quarters arm slot. Creates some running life on the fastball and strides open. Lands the changeup well and works in the lower third of the strike zone. Curveball had some late bite to it and showed good pitchability. Arm strength played well from secondary position of the infield. Righthanded hitter with a big leg lift trigger, high hand set, and a high back elbow. Still hands in the load with some barrel awareness. Fights front side some and can work to the pull side. Tremendous student.
