Logan Mendoza is a 2019 SS/2B with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from San Ramon, CA who attends California. Compact frame with a lean, athletic build. Projects for additional strength. Ran a 7.21 sixty-yard dash. Primary shortstop with aggressive footwork while closing to and surrounding the baseball. Funnels out front and showed solid range when working to the ball glove side. Generated solid on line momentum to the bag while working through transition and released from a three-quarters slot. Throws produced accurate, on line carry to the bag topping at 81 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a crouched, knee knocking stance and simple front side trigger. Shifts to contact with linear lower half actions. Simple, direct path to baseball with a line drive barrel plane through extension. Flashed solid hand quickness through the zone with the ability to turn the barrel to contact. Swung with intent and looked to drive the baseball with aggression between the gaps. Excellent student as well.
