Brian Martin is a 2018 OF/RHP with a 6-1 205 lb. frame from Westland, MI who attends John Glenn HS. Big and strong athletic build, pretty mature physically. Two-way prospect, right handed hitter, long and strong swing and is looking to drive and lift the ball, ball comes off the barrel very hard when squared up. 7.19 runner, long and loose arm action, makes accurate on line throws, corner outfield profile. Works from the far first base side of the rubber on the mound, back turn delivery, has good rhythm and athleticism in his delivery. Fastball topped out at 87 mph, gets big tailing life and times. Slider showed swing and miss potential, hard with sharp biting action, also threw a change up and curveball that showed promise. Threw strikes with all his pitches and showed the ability to mix from the first batter. Interesting all around athlete with a variety of tools. Excellent student, signed with Michigan State.
