Jared Tomasso is a 2018 RHP/ with a 6-6 160 lb. frame from Sarasota, FL who attends Cardinal Mooney. Very slender, athletic present build; highly projectable frame with lots of room to add weight and strength. Primary righthanded pitcher, side step back into windup, coils hip inwards over rubber and collapses slightly on backside in driving downhill. Mostly upper half/arm-driven delivery, compact arm stroke through the back with good arm speed, throws from three quarters arm slot. Lands slightly closed off and creates moderate crossfire as a result. Fastball worked 75-77 mph with run to arm side; will unlock more velocity with increased strength and usage of lower half in delivery. Showed curveball in upper 60's with solid depth; mostly a downer pitch. Showed ability to command strike zone with both pitches; has good upside and projectability. Good student.
