Tyler Sherman is a 2018 1B/OF with a 6-1 186 lb. frame from St.Louis, MO who attends Parkway North HS. Medium frame with long limbs and a lean, athletic build. Frame projects to support additional size with strength. Ran a 7.46 sixty-yard dash. Primary first baseman with fundamental footwork while centering the baseball. Developing range to each side but flashed good feet while pivoting to make throws to second base. Clean glove actions while funneling with smooth paced exchanges. Topped at 74 miles per hour across the infield producing soft, accurate carry. Right handed hitter with a spread, even stance and rotational lower half. Simple, direct path to contact with a line drive plane through extension. Flashed good bat speed and strength at contact while primarily working between the gaps. Stays very balanced throughout with the hand and barrel skills to work to all fields with occasional pop. Tools will continue to develop with physical maturity and repetition. Outstanding student as well.
