Chad Curtis is a 2019 RHP/1B with a 6-1 197 lb. frame from Pembroke Pines, FL who attends St. Thomas Aquinas. Curtis has a large frame with a thicker stronger build. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with a long loose arm action. He turns his back some at leg lift and gets his hips closed at balance point. Curtis has a clean delivery and works with good tempo. He gets run on his fastball when it's to his arm side and he threw it for strikes. He threw a 10/4 curve ball with sweeping action on it. He worked in a change up as well with good arm speed and sink on it. Curtis threw his curve ball for strikes in any count and competed in the zone well. At the plate he starts with a narrow base and high back elbow. He has a short swing with a contact oriented approach. Good student.
