Drew Mercier is a 2018 SS/2B with a 5-8 130 lb. frame from Shalimar, FL who attends Choctawhatchee Senior HS. Small framed athlete with plenty of room to grow and mature physically that brings energy to the field. On the infield he shows a quick first step, moves to the ball with momentum and direction to first base, fields with a solid base and throws accurately. At the plate he stands tall and narrow, starts the swing with a toe tap trigger, quick lower half and sound mechanically, works up to the ball with a good path, showed feel for contact. Above average runner that ran a sub 7 second 60 yard sprint at 6.97. Great student.
