Will Johannes is a 2022 C/1B with a 6-2 205 lb. frame from Mukwonago, WI who attends Mukwonago. Recorded a 7.17 second 60 yard dash time. Solidly-built prospect with present strength, large frame that projects very well moving forward. Primary catcher with a side straddle set up, gains good ground towards second base and is quick out of the chute. Quick transfer at the chest with good foot speed. Advanced arm strength with great carry on the throws, recorded an event-best 1.89 second pop time at 82 mph. Compact primary stance with quality receiving skills, worked hard to stay in front of pitches in the dirt. Right-handed hitter with a narrow base and relaxed stance. Toe tap trigger, drops the hands to start the swing. Shows a gap to gap approach and advanced bat speed with present strength in the hands. Aggressive and high intent swinger, looks to create lift at contact, ball really jumps off the bat when on time and squared.
