2016 Mid Atlantic Top Prospect Showcase
Jacob Lebovitch is a 2017 RHP with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Englewood, NJ who attends Frisch Yeshiva High School. Medium, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present strength proportioned nicely throughout frame. Primary righthanded pitcher, begins with a simple side step into delivery, gets tall on backside with a hip turn at top of delivery. Lands slightly open with front side, full arm action through the back and shows quickness to arm action working to a three-quarters arm slot. Able to generate running life down in the zone on fastball, topped out at 84 mph, creates nice plane to fastball when on top and can works to either side. Attacked hitters with fastball and held velocity well, maintains tempo to delivery, front side opens early at times. Depth to curveball developed nicely throughout the outing, showed 11-5 shape with short depth, maintains arm slot, flashed 12-6 shape at times with bite. Very good student. Named to Mid Atlantic Top-Top Prospect List.
