Hunter Roberts is a 2020 RHP/IF with a 6-0 155 lb. frame from Wakefield, RI who attends South Kingstown High School. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders, present strength to body and still projects nicely with additional room to fill out. Ran a 7.02 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, begins delivery with a full hands over head hand path with a short leg lift and does a nice job of striding on line while showing balance, full arm action through the back working to an extended three-quarters arm slot. Shows fluidity to arm and comes through well, flashes ability to get fastball to glove side, topped out at 75 mph and held velocity from the stretch, induced ground ball contact when working down in the zone. Flashed a curveball with 11-5 shape and short depth at 62 mph as well as a cutter at 69 mph that rode away from righthanded hitters. Shows arm strength across the diamond as well, works behind the ball and gathers well, extra step at release, gets on top of throws. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and uses a toe tap trigger at the start for timing. Full swing path coming through the zone with an inside path, shows intent in swing with a line drive swing plane. Contact approach and shows comfort and consistency working the middle of the field, projects with additional strength.
