Peter Schaefer is a 2019 RHP/OF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Knoxville, TN who attends Webb School Of Knoxville. Medium athletic build, has good present strength and room for more. Simple compact delivery with a high leg raise start, has good rhythm and tempo, hides the ball well from the hitters. Fastball topped out at 83 mph, gets on hitters quickly, nice running action when down in the zone, threw his fastball for strikes and worked ahead in counts, can get the ball to his glove side as well. Curveball had tight spin and late bite with good depth, showed feel for spotting his curveball as well. Two solid pitches and the ability to throw them for strikes. 7.28 runner, quick and compact arm from the outfield, makes accurate on line throws. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with a lift and replace load, short inside swing with pull side line drive contact, flashed some gap power. Good student.
