Alex Dingman is a 2017 RHP/OF with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Virginia Beach, VA who attends Cape Henry Collegiate School. Medium build, athletic, lean frame with room to continue to add physical strength. Posted a 7.52 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary right handed pitcher, quick, deceptive delivery from a straight over the top arm slot and a big arm circle. Fastball worked 71-74/76 mph with true action and showed athletic fielding actions on the mound. Also mixed in a curveball at 61 mph with good bend. Worked out from the outfield as well, showed sound actions to the ball with developing arm strength and accuracy. At the plate, starts with a narrow, upright stance, high hand set and shifts weight into a squat pre-swing. Flashed barrel feel with a quick, inside hand path and a short to the ball approach. Outstanding student.
