Kaeland Nelson is a 2017 OF/2B with a 6-1 148 lb. frame from West Covina, CA who attends Covina HS. Very lean and projectable body takes a good approach to the baseball, gains momentum, sets his feet with good mechanics, fields in good position and throws with accuracy to the bag. At the plate has a wide stance, open, upright torso and holds the bat over the shoulder a 45 degree angle. Lift lead leg with internal rotation, lands high on toe with front side coiled, hands get pushed back. Finishes swing with a quick barrel, good path and developing lower half mechanics. Good Students.
