Bryan Thomas is a 2018 OF/RHP with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Salt Lake City, UT who attends East HS. Large frame with an athletic build. Projects for additional strength. Right handed hitter with a spread, balanced stance and high hand set. Lower half launches to contact with rotational actions. Level line drive swing path with a mid-field approach. Barreled contact resulting in line drive, ground ball contact. Turns the barrel to pull side at times producing line drive to the gap. Barrel stays in the zone well through extension. Worked out defensively from the outfield showing a long arm circle at separation into a low three-quarters arm slot at release. Top has has some rotational action at release generating some carry to the bag with accuracy. Closes to baseball with some athletic actions with clean glove skills while working through transition. Showed good range in the oufield when closing on baseballs to the gaps. Also ran a 6.96 sixty-yard dash. Good student as well.
