Tommy Vega is a 2016 SS/2B with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Farmingville, NY who attends Sachem East HS. Has square shoulders, strong build, and signs of strength throughout frame. Posted a 7.67 second sixty yard dash. From the infield, fields the ball out front with good actions with the glove and feet, showed full arm action on throws across. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with a high hand set, high back elbow, and leg lift trigger. Has a full swing with a contact approach to all fields. Showed strength to pull side off the barrel, comes off well when on time, flashes signs of natural lift through the point of contact. Good student.
