Brentt Olmo Lucero is a 2021 OF/LHP with a 5-8 160 lb. frame from Arecibo, PR who attends Marjory Stoneman Douglas. Medium frame with an already filling out type build with strength throughout. Ran a 7.54 second sixty yard dash. Primary Outfielder, sitting back on the baseball as he made sure to keep it in front of him. Clean gather to the side and then carries momentum into throws. Clean arm action as he creates whip with throws on the money. Threw it 85 mph during drills with carry. Projects well in the outfield as he is fundamentally sound with the footwork and has a strong arm. Secondary Left-Handed Pitcher, working with a side step to a higher leg lift out of the windup. Coils up on back side and then drives down the mound while staying online to target. Creates a tough angle naturally as he releases from a three-quarter slot. Fastball up to 80 mph with life and mixed in a really good breaking ball with 1-to-7 movements that got plenty of swings & misses. Confident on the mound with upside showing. Left-Handed Hitter, starting open and balanced with high hands. Low leg lift before striding out and landing in a balanced position. Creates separation and knows how to leverage the baseball. Pop in the bat as he squared it up consistently. Proved to have power to the pull-side as he drove it deep. Comfortable in the box as he took a great round of batting practice. Good Student.
