Kory Olsen is a 2017 SS/2B with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Crystal Lake, IL who attends Crystal Lake South HS. Medium, young frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with additional room to fill out. Ran a 7.86 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, fields the ball out front and works behind the ball, glove plays at the ball, young actions, quick transfer into extended and lower arm slot, balanced on charge, getting on top of ball will help increase accuracy and develop arm strength. Righthanded hitter, begins with a hand set pulled back and does a nice job of staying inside the baseball. Aggressive swing with a short and compact swing to and through the ball. Contact approach with ability to use all fields and looks to turn on pitches that are middle in. Good student.
