Drew Thomas is a 2017 OF/RHP with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from West Monroe, LA who attends West Ouachita High School. Medium build and frame with present athleticism and room to continue to physically develop. Posted a 7.08 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary outfielder, was aggressive to the ball with a solid release and transfer. At the plate, started with a wider base and a high hand set with a quick leg lift timing mechanism. Hits out in front with minimal lower half involvement showing some hand speed. Showed good strength in swing with developing barrel feel. Also pitched, showed a longer, loose arm action with extension. Fastball worked 74-76 mph with sink and mixed in a 10-4 shaped curveball and a deceptive 71 mph changeup. Exceptional student.
