Pedro Juan Rivera Rinaldi is a 2017 2B/SS with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Ponce, PR who attends Puerto Rico Baseball Academy/HS. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a projectable build with room to fill out with additional strength. Ran a 7.12 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, works behind the ball well with sound actions and athleticism, loose and quick arm action, strong arm across with good carry from a longer release. Righthanded hitter, starts with an upright stance and a high hand and back elbow set pulled back. Upper body swing with a high leg lift trigger for timing, line drive swing plane with a simple and direct path to ball. Good balance throughout and shifts into contact well, full swing through the ball with consistent middle of field contact, swing works and projects well with strength. Good student.
