Turner Olfers is a 2017 OF with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Frisco, TX who attends Legacy Christian Academy. Medium frame, thin build with high waist, projects to add more weight and fill out. Worked out in the outfield, works to the ball well and shows solid instincts. Fields the ball out in front, gets on top of the ball with whippy arm-action. Accurate throws to bases, solid arm strength that projects for more, up to 76 mph in defensive drills. Left handed hitter, toe-tap timing mechanism with slight gather, some moving parts to navigate through. Inconsistent timing, would be best served to simplify pre-pitch movement, flashes line-drive swing plane with pull-oriented approach and developing feel for the barrel. Solid athlete with footspeed, ran a 7.08 60-yard dash. Excellent student.
