Joey Zanetti is a 2019 OF/RHP with a 5-7 125 lb. frame from Richmond, VA who attends Tucker HS. Young, athletic frame, very lean and projectable with room to add strength with physical growth. Ran a 7.51 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, moves well to the ball, shows sound mechanics to the ball that will continue to develop and shows footwork through the ball, short arm action on throws with arm strength that projects moving forward. Also pitched, short and compact arm action through the back with a three-quarters arm slot at release. Tight release, full hands over the head to delivery and lands online, fastball topped out at 66 mph and mixed in a short breaking 10-4 curveball. Righthanded hitter, begins with a pre-load at start of swing, short path to the ball with a line drive swing plane. Has an approach at the plate and shows ability to execute, creates line drive contact to pull side, projects with additional strength. Aggressive on the base paths. Very good student.
