Christopher Gann is a 2017 3B/MIF with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Lakewood, CA who attends Lakewood HS. Medium frame with a compact, athletic frame. Projects for additional size with strength. Right handed hitter with a straight, balanced stance and leg kick trigger. Lower half launches to contact with rotational actions. Extended, loose path to contact with a line drive plane. Swings with intent flashing bat speed. Turns the barrel to contact at times resulting in loud contact to the pull side gap. Worked out defensively from the infield showing good fundamental footwork while working through ground balls. Clean glove actions and exchanges while working into throws. Athletic feet while ranging to both sides with good range. Accurate across the infield with carry from multiple arm slot. Solid, clean round throughout defensive workout. Also pitched shwoing a loose arm action from a lower three-quarters slot. Creates good arm extension out front with an on line finish. Shows good command down in the zone while pitching to contact. Curveball has slurve action with good spin and tilt. Produced soft contact while on the mound with good composure. Good student as well.
