Blake Peyton is a 2018 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-0 195 lb. frame from Santee, CA who attends El Capitan HS. Thick build with good present strength. Big leg raise delivery, slow and under control pace, good direction to the plate, extended 3/4's arm slot creates angle. Upper 80's fastball, settled in at 89 after the first inning, gets running action on his fastball and can throw to both sides of the plate. Big sweeping slider has good 2-plane shape and occasional big depth, can get sharp biting action on the slider at times. Flashed a nice change up late. Has the present pitches and ability to use them. Good student, verbal commitment to Arizona.
