Brock Archer is a 2019 OF/RHP with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Wheeling, WV who attends Wheeling Park HS. Has a slender frame, lean build, plenty or room to fill out physically as he continues to mature and put on additional muscle. Posted a 7.33 60-yard dash, gets good jumps and is aggressive on the base paths. From the outfield, aggressive to the baseball, stays down, crow hop into accurate throws with arm strength up to 73 MPH. Switch hitter at the plate. From the right side, has a full swing, developing bat speed and strength, good barrel control. From the left side, high hand set to start that drops on load, developing quick hands. Clear extension from both sides of the plate. On the mound, throws from a low 3/4 arm slot with short arm action through the back. Works exclusively out of the stretch. Fastball has running life, has ability to get in and jam hitters. Curveball has 11/5 shape, solid break. Changeup has similar action as fastball. Pounds the strike zone. Excellent student.
