Cameron Weaver is a 2021 C with a 5-6 138 lb. frame from Winchester, TN who attends St. Andrew's Sewanee HS. Young, projectable build with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Primary catcher, low set behind the plate at start, receives the ball out front and shows a deep transfer into a full arm action on throws down to second base with a higher slot release; can continue to incorporate additional lower half into release and arm strength will continue to develop with added physicality. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate with a balanced start. Utilizes a high leg lift trigger for timing at start of swing, upper body dominant swing but shows a feel for the barrel and a linear path through the zone. Contact oriented approach and able to work all fields with line drive contact off the bat, comfort working the middle and pull side parts of the field.
