2015 Midwest Underclass Showcase
Devon Lujan is a 2018 1B/RHP, 3B with a 6-1 200 lb. frame from Olathe, KS who attends Olathe East HS. Large frame, long limbs, athletic build, room to add additional muscle as he fills out. On the infield, developing footwork and range, produces good momentum through the baseball, makes accurate throws across diamond. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with a spread base and crouched stance. Short weight shift with extended arm load, opposite field approach. Good bat speed, raw power to all fields. On the mound, simple delivery, throws from a high 3/4 arm slot, long arm action. Downhill plane on fastball, occasional arm side run, developing lower half. Excellent student.
