Alejandro Amador is a 2017 SS/2B with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Spring, TX who attends Klein HS. Medium, athletic frame with a lean, projectable build and quick-twitch muscle throughout, projects well with additional strength. Strong runner, posted a 6.70 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder, takes short step moving towards the ball and remains light on feet, range to either side, fields the ball out front, very clean transfer out of the glove and shows accuracy on throws, arm strength projects with added physical strength. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a high back elbow in the box. Starts with a short leg lift trigger, shows quickness to hands and shifts weight well through lower half. Occasionally mistimes leg trigger, ball comes off the barrel well when extended, nice carry off the barrel and can work the opposite field too. Consistently found the barrel in live action. Named to South Uncommitted Top Prospect List. Very good student.
