Matt Hart is a 6'1" 190 pound 2007 middle infielder and right handed pitcher from Federal Way, Washington who attends Todd Beamer High School. He has a medium athletic body that is very lanky. Matt has an loose easy arm with good arm strength which he showed by throwing 85 mph across the infield during the workout. He has nice footwork and a good glove. Hart makes good hard contact with good bat speed. He stays inside the ball very well and has gap power with more projected to come. On the mound, Hart throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a loose arm that is short in the back. He has good control of both his fastball and curveball. He uses his lower half very well and has solid mechanics. His fastball topped out at 83 mph with natural cut action and his curveball was at 65 mph with 10/4 rotation. He has a very projectable arm that will continue to get better. Matt is a solid two-way prospect who is also en excellent student with a 3.8 gpa.
