Jacob Fernandez is a 2018 OF/RHP, 3B with a 6-1 177 lb. frame from Fort Worth, TX who attends Fossil Ridge HS. Large frame and an athletic build, room to put on additional muscle as he matures. Solid carry on throws from the outfield. Does of nice job of coming through the ball. Tendency to lose momentum after transfer. Potential to add more velocity from the outfield as lower half continues to develop. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with a slightly open, narrow stance and a high hand set. Line drive swing plane with an opposite field approach. On the mound, works hitters downhill with his long over the top arm angle. More velocity and consistency to come as mechanics continue to polish. Good student.
