Anthony Fernandez is a 2017 OF/2B with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Hialeah, FL who attends Archbishop Edward McCarthy HS. Has an athletic frame, athletic build, and still has room to fill out physically as he continues to put on additional strength. Posted a 7.50 sixty yard dash. From the outfield, showed fluid movements and actions through the baseball with developing quickness to transfers. Throws came from a compact arm action with good accuracy and arm solid arm strength up to 85 MPH. Also displayed good range and covered ground in the outfield. At the plate, right-handed hitter that has a middle of the field approach on a line drive swing plane. Has hand quickness in his short, compact swing and looks to drive the baseball gap to gap. Excellent student.
